NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER
Say it with me: moving away from the city you love is strange and should be accompanied by feelings of loss/regret/death/miasma/undertones of disintegration. It is permitted. You are allowed to cry in public and feel like you are miles away from yourself/your friends/your shining idea of what is going to happen in the future. It is okay to listen to Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness again, but only for a little while.
I feel like my friends are avoiding me (and I have to admit that I haven't been a regular stand-up comedy act lately), but I think I'm avoiding them in a way, too. But, it's still going to be okay because Adam and I will dress up and go to the bar at the OMNI hotel next week for no reason except we share a passion for hotel bars/dressing up and also look very picturesque next to each other on bar stools.
