FOOL'S PARADISE

Here are the results of this iTunes meme that's going around.
1. Perhaps, Charlie Parker
2. Loser, Beck
3. Can You Handle It, Prince Paul
4. Brick Is Red, the Pixies
5. Oh My Golly, the Pixies
6. One Louder Solex, Solex
7. Sweet and Easy to Love, Roy Orbison
8. Lush Life, Chicks On Speed
9. Conduit For Sale!, Pavement
10. Hounds of Love, Kate Bush

This makes me look way cool, right? I was afraid to do this for a while because of the possibility of those nerdy things I have in iTunes coming up- like Jamey Abersold's "Blues in All Keys" or Gustav Holst's Planets. Well, whatever, I just told you about them, so shut up.
SLEEP THE CLOCK AROUND

I feel like I've been looking so hard for the last few weeks, for the thing that will make me happy. A copy of Franny & Zooey, a cannister of the kind of face powder I remember from my grandmother's dressing table, a walk, a cup of coffee, a cigarette, a dance party. None of it has worked & I'm getting frustrated. I should be able to make myself feel better. It shouldn't take anything more than a little hard work, or finding the right thing. Is that how it works for everybody else? Is that all?
