Y'ALL SUPERSTARS DON'T NEED NO BODY GUARDS

Today was eventful:

+An old Chinese man punched me on the shoulder and yelled, "Buon Giorno!" at me.

+I noticed that the sign on the Tobacco Outlet Says "LOTTO NEWSPAPER CIGARETTES CANDAY." Canday? As in "partay?" As in "canday partay?" What is going on here?

+Five people asked me for directions to Rocky's, the greasy spoon that makes vegetable soup exactly like my mother's. I'm guessing they're having a convention today?

+My old housemate Dave snuck up on me in the record store and convinced me to buy a Steely Dan album. I'm not sure how this is going to work out. Of course, he promised that if I don't like it he'll buy it from me so he can have a "backup copy." Because you know how frustrating that is when you break your primary copy of Aja and don't have a backup.Yeah, you know all about that.

I've been thinking about my GOODBYE PITTSBURGH FAREWELL TOUR, which will (maybe) happen this spring once I figure out where I'll be for grad school. Initially I made a list of all the Pittsburgh things that I haven't gotten around to yet, or the things that I'll miss for sure, so I can start embalming them in my memory. But really, I'll probably miss my routines more than anything else, and today was a classic. I'm always content to go to the library, get some coffee, read and smoke outside, sketch a little, and listen to my headphones. My day-off routine. I'll probably miss it the most.
