I found an orange Bakelite necklace for 79 cents in the City Mission. They tried to ring up my lunchbox, which I put down on the counter to get out my wallet, for $1.79 And so it goes.
One of my coworkers, who had picked up The World According to Garp while I was out on lunch, has officially been thrown over to John Irving fandom. He went to the other Waynesburg library and was surprised to discover eight other Irving books. And so it goes.
I cooked dinner. It was miraculous.
