FASTER, PUSSYCAT, KILL, KILL!
Here's the thing about customer service: sometimes people are feeling pleasant, and serving you well by saying the right magic words is incredibly easy. Sometimes they just spill out. Sometimes the people who are in the service industry actually get some kind of satisfaction from doing something well in their little bend of the system and squeak-lessly cogging away. But not always. Not always. There are times when the person serving you is tired, is freaked out, or angry about something, or has experienced a long day of extremely small setbacks. At times like these, it is best not to give said server a hot shit attitude about routine parts of their jobs, such as asking you for their student ID so your book can be checked back in, or informing them of your intentions to pay a fine. Sometimes it feels as if I have an invisible sign saying, "FUCK WITH ME! PLEASE!" over my head, because why else would I be party to such inane, unecessary nonsense?

CRANKYPANTS! THAT'S ME!
